BSAC is the British Sub-Aqua Club, the governing body for UK diving. BSAC is structured around a club structure with local branches all over the UK.You will need to visit the BSAC website to find your local branch or dive centre. It is well established and well regarded in the UK and worldwide.
It is interest to note on holiday on Greece, the BSAC qualification (30 dives in my log-book) was considered by the dive shop owner as sign of real competence and not just a "holiday" diver
BSAC was established in 1953 as a club for divers by divers. The training is aimed clearly at diving safely in UK waters, which means able to deal with currents, colder waters and a lower degree of visibility.
