This is a huge sheltered horseshoe shaped reef offering diving on all sides. The site is too far away for day boats as there are better sites closer to Hurghada.
The site is usually visited by safari boats for night dives and as a check dive area for it s sheltered environment.
Key things to look out for:
The North side is known for the many moray eels, especially at dusk take along a torch.
Also, have a close look on the North West side, there are a number of small underwater coral mounts and rocks which often have moray eels hiding in it.
There are some lovely underwater pinnacles on the West side of the reef.
You might be in luck to sight the resident dolphin community, it is not unheard of for the dolphins to swim along side for over 30 minutes and observe divers.
